How To Join

You may be an established resident; or someone who has come to live in this part of East Devon recently. Either way, you have your reasons for choosing the charm of Sidmouth and its surrounding suburbs, in which to make your home.

The SVA exists to promote the history, geography, natural history and architecture of the Sid Valley. We own land which is used by residents for recreational activities, and we own and run the Museum. We organise walks and talks and have interest groups which actively contribute to the well being of the Sid Valley. We publish regular newsletters and hold social events.

How much each Member does to support the SVA's activities depends on many things – health, age, abilities, etc. Some are unable to do much physically, whilst others see personal involvement in our activities as a way of making new friends, and getting to know the area better.

To join us you can either fill in the application form below, together with the standing order mandate or, if you wish to pay for one year's membership, or life membership by cheque, please download and print the application form and send it to our membership secretary, whose address is on the form.
