You may be an established resident; or someone who has come to live in this part of East Devon recently. Either way, you have your reasons for choosing the charm of Sidmouth and its surrounding suburbs, in which to make your home.
The SVA exists to promote the history, geography, natural history and architecture of the Sid Valley. We own land which is used by residents for recreational activities, and we own and run the Museum. We organise walks and talks and have interest groups which actively contribute to the well being of the Sid Valley. We publish regular magazines and hold social events.
You do not need to volunteer for anything to be a member of the SVA. You will receive our magazine three times a year and will get regular notices of events such as trips, talks, walks and exhibitions by email. However if you are are interested and able to spare some time and would like to become more involved in one of the many areas where we need help then please contact one of the organisers on the contacts page.
Please do encourage your friends to join the SVA. Personal contacts are the best and easiest way to raise our income, and to those who are such Life Members, may we ask that you do further donate or take out an annual subscription.
